THE HISTORY OF EL BADI PALACE MARRAKECH
El Badi Palace in Marrakech is a masterpiece of architecture in Morocco, built by Sultan al-Saadi Ahmad al-Mansur al-Dahabi (1603-1578) a few months after he took power when he win one of biggest battle in 1578 in the moroccan city of Laksar lakbir ‘Big Palace’ between Morocco and Portugal in that age called the battle of Three kings ” Mohammed al-Mutawakkil | Sultan Abdul Malik al-Saadi | Portuguese King Sebastian”
it was in the begaining about a power struggle between Sultan Abdul Malik As Saadi and Al-Mutawakkil who allied with King Sebastian.
The battle ended with the death of the three kings, which made Sultan Ahmed Al-Mansour Al-Dhahabi win the battle and thus stand alone to obtain all the spoils of war
Ahmed Al Mansour chose the north-eastern corner to build this palace, which is dedicated to organizing concerts and organizing official receptions, and the building lasted about 16 years and his rule lived about 26 years .
THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE BADI PALACE MARRAKECH
